Sallie Belle was apparently married twice although no marriage records have been found. She had a daughter with John Calvin Dial but did not live with Dial for any length of time. She left her daughter in Atlanta, Georgia, with her mother and sister Lillie sometime between 1910 and 1920 and moved to New York with Frank M. Cooksey.
Sallie Belle and Cooksey apparently married as he was the informant and was listed as her husband on her death certificate. She was buried on 26 October 1920 in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx County, New York.
