Owens completed a marriage bond on 7 May 1863 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, for the intent to marry Cecilia Owens.1 The marriage certificate portion of the bond is blank and no other records in the County Clerk’s office record the official date they married. But they probably got married that same day. Matt’s obituary published in the Mt.
