Susan Taylor, daughter of William Thomas Taylor and Mary Elizabeth Fletcher, was 15 years old when she married William P. McFerron on 26 March 1896 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. Susie and William had one daughter, Rissie, born in January 1897. They either divorced or he died before Susie married Fred Krueger on 16 November 1902.
Fred was a German immigrant, the son of Fritz Krueger and Henrietta Pruesner and brother of August Krueger. August later married Susie’s cousin Susan Taylor, daughter of John Cook Taylor and Sarah Ramsey.
