Feature: Lillie Vashti Lanier
110 Years Ago: Lillie Vashti Lanier married Jesse H. Walls 26 February 1910 in Fulton County, Georgia.1 They lived at 9 Carroll PL in Atlanta when the 1910 U.S. census was taken 4 May 1910.2
How long Lillie and Jesse were married and where they lived after 1910 is unknown. They do not appear in any Atlanta City Directories from 1910 forward.3 By 1923, Lillie was married to Jack W. Roberts, but I have not located a marriage record.4 I have not found a Jesse Walls that I can determine was this man either before or after their marriage except for the marriage record and the 1910 census.
Oh, the questions I have about Aunt Lillie’s life. (*Great-aunt, McCauley)
