179 Years Ago: Job Weeks died 15 January 1841 in Pope County, Illinois.1 Job was born 8 May 1755 in Gloucester County, New Jersey, and served in the Revolutionary War from there.2
Job moved to Salem County, New Jersey years after the war and then on to Ohio County, Virginia, where he lived in 1810.3 He lived in Warren County, Ohio and Falls of the Ohio, Clark County, Indiana, before settling in the Livingston County, Kentucky and Pope County, Illinois area.4 Those counties are across the Ohio River from each other and Job lived in both places.
He lived in Pope County in Feb 1821 when his son James and daughter-in-law Delinda Younger Weeks named him to go to Pennsylvania to settle Delinda’s part in her father’s estate.5 He lived in Livingston County from 1836–1839 when various documents related to his Revolutionary War pension application were filed.6 He was back in Pople County when he died.7 (*5th Great-grandfather, Hankins)
