Daniel’s middle name is in question. Most researchers have it as Boone, but the source of that name seems to be “other family members.” His son Luther, who provided the personal information for Daniel’s death certificate, gave his middle name as Bivins.3“Georgia, U.S., Deaths Index, 1914-1940,” digital image, Ancestry (https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/2562 : accessed 20 Jun 2021), death certificate no. 32-26507 (1932), Daniel Bivins Petty; from Georgia Department of Health and Vital Statistics, Atlanta. It is unclear which (if either) is correct.
Daniel married Mary Rebecca Cornelison, daughter of James Wilborn Cornelison and Elizabeth Owens, about 1889.4Find A Grave (https://www.findagrave.com : viewed 23 Nov 2012), memorial 34924176, for Mary R.
